Gas drying and conditioning system &#8211- EmiTest Guard

The presence of water vapor in the flue gas can compromise the quality of analyses, degrade equipment performance and increase maintenance needs. Developed for environmental monitoring and industrial waste control applications, the EmiTest Guard ensures the preparation of the gas flow before its transfer to sampling devices.

Its compact design brings together in a single unit the functions of cooling, condensate recovery and final dewatering, offering a simple solution to integrate on site.

An optimized design for field operations

The EmiTest Guard is installed directly between the extraction probe and the measurement system to simplify the sampling chain.

Unlike traditional assemblies requiring several glass elements, this architecture reduces the number of connections, facilitates the sealing of the installation and improves the speed of implementation during measurement campaigns.

This approach also helps to limit the risk of breakage and associated maintenance operations.

Control of condensation and equipment protection

When passing through the module, the flow passes through a coil immersed in a cooling bath. The drop in temperature promotes the separation of liquid phases contained in industrial fumes.

The recovered liquids are directed to an easily replaceable standard laboratory container, allowing for simple condensate management throughout the entire procedure.

This step significantly reduces the constraints applied to downstream instruments.

Additional drying by adsorption

After the cooling phase, residual traces of moisture are retained within an integrated cartridge containing an adsorbent media.

This double action improves the stability of the operating conditions of the connected equipment and helps to maintain consistent measurement performance, even during prolonged operations.

A solution adapted to industrial applications

Thanks to its robustness and simplicity of operation, the EmiTest Guard meets the requirements of control campaigns carried out on:

  • incineration units,
  • thermal power plants,
  • energy recovery installations,
  • industrial processes subject to environmental regulations,
  • monitoring networks for gaseous emissions.

The benefits for the operator

Securing of measuring equipment

Reducing the water load reduces the risk of fouling and extends the service life of connected systems.

Improving the quality of analyses

The preparation of the flow helps to ensure more stable and representative measurement conditions.

Simplification of the sampling chain

Centralization of functions reduces the number of components needed in the field.

Reduction of maintenance interventions

The protection of downstream equipment reduces corrective operations and unplanned shutdowns.

FAQ

Why treat a gas stream before its analysis?

Variations in temperature can cause the formation of condensate, which can affect the quality of measurements and the operation of equipment.

What is the point of a system combining cooling and adsorption?

This combination makes it possible to efficiently treat the water in condensed form and then the remaining residual traces in order to obtain a flow better suited for analytical operations.

Does the installation require specific equipment?

The system has been designed to integrate easily into existing sampling configurations with a minimum of additional accessories.

In which sectors is the EmiTest Guard used?

It is particularly suitable for applications in environmental control, industrial waste monitoring and flue gas analysis.
